Site Lead

Job Role:
We’re on the lookout for a talented Site Lead who's comfortable with most things around the jobsite. This candidate would utilize technology on a daily basis to review construction details and schedules to make sure our projects are being built to the highest standards. They’ll be managing both our own team of carpenters, along with our network of subcontractors and vendors. The ideal candidate would not only be comfortable managing crews—but would also bring their skills in carpentry to the jobsite in order to best support all teams working on our homes. To be clear—this is NOT an office job.
In this position, you will:
Be the main point of contact at our jobsites (sometimes multiple).
Need to be comfortable working with plans, organizing tasks, and managing small teams of carpenters and sub-contractors.
Determine required equipment, materials, manpower, and participate in on-ground construction activities.
Implement job site safety and ensure compliance with building standards.
Effective at multitasking to handle site management and skilled carpentry tasks.
Build positive relationships with our internal team, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Recruit and provide guidance to subcontractors while executing hands-on work alongside when required.
Problem solve onsite, providing necessary hands-on input to maintain schedules and quality.
Perform skilled carpentry and other manual skills as necessary on site.

Extensive experience in construction with a strong carpentry background.
Broad knowledge of construction procedures and site management principles.
Comprehensive understanding of safety and building regulations.
Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.

Vast hands-on experience can substitute for formal education.
An appreciation of authenticity and integrity of enduring craftsmanship.
